At least time is much tighter for this year so cut off will be low. If you are not a candidate this year, you may have to time yourself in order to feel the difficulty, not from the questions themselves, but from the time constraints.
I think if you know how to do it and did something like question type. Then you would have high scores. The questions are hard and are testing the extent of candidates' knowledge like question 17 & 19, but not so tricky and unpredictable.
should question 32 has the correct answer A? AB/BC should be (loga/b)logb instead of (logb/a)loga... when I was determining the III, I thought these kind of choice are `always' correct, just waiting candidate to justify it and choice is as the correct answer. I doubted myself and try to establish the AB/BC
(III) should be correct as I have checked it using two methods: using standard log calculations, and substituting values. You probably have to recheck your calculations?
In Q39, the condition that TA is the tangent is not necessary. From AB = CD, it can be shown that angle B = angle C. The answer can now be deduced by considering the quadrilateral ABCE.
Ths average mc score this year will still be the lowest. The main issue is not difficultly, but should be the fact that the time is too tight and very few candidates can finish the paper in time. Take the linear programming question as example, it is not difficult but simply too tedious and time consuming. For me I usually get 44 or 45 with around 20 minutes left, this time I only get 41 as I have 3 questions having not enough time to calculate.
You should have a better training before exam. This is not an excuse to say something comfort yourself for getting only 41 correct if you think you are a strong candidate.
I do agree that I may get a higher score if I had more training. However, the fact that having similar training, obtaining a lower score can already reflect a relatively high difficulty for this paper.

why Q6 is D ? isn't option I is incorrect?
回覆刪除Beware that a is negative, so have to change sign when multiplying to the other side
刪除Also, why Q17 is B? i got 96.7 pie cm^2
回覆刪除If you calculated correctly, wouldn't the option be 97 pi?
刪除how come q43 is 3/10?
回覆刪除So you chose 1/6? Do you think EAA will be so kind to set such an easy question lol
刪除The answer is: 1/6+[(4/6)^2](1/6)+[(4/6)^4](1/6)+[(4/6)^6](1/6)+...
刪除Do it in sum to infinity way.
Do you think this year is difficult?
回覆刪除Definitely, should be the hardest year.
刪除Not really

刪除Will the cutoff of this year resemble to that of 2013?
回覆刪除Likely
刪除Not likely, you can't forget you have the easiest paper 1

f i get it 34/45 correct in paper 1,
回覆刪除75/105 in paper 2.
Still have chance to get level 5?
hard
刪除it depends on cutoff
I got it 82/105 34/45 any chance of getting lv5?
回覆刪除if I got 98/105 in paper 1 and 38/45 in paper 2, what is the chance of getting 5**??
回覆刪除Don't be too afraid. Just forget the exam after you have tried your best. 天道酬勤。

回覆刪除Sorry, I have to say this year is not very difficult. I found only the question 17 is difficult.

刪除why is q34 D but not C
回覆刪除u mean q33?
